Try the unlit tiki torches along the entrance path

The best way to decorate the entrance path or even mark the path for the bride in a beach wedding is to have unlit tiki torches on either side and these will form kind of a path.

As far as the decorations are concerned make sure that you use the organza or the white chiffon for adding some style. On the top of the tiki torches where the actual flame should have you can use some nice floral arrangements or even fill the cavity with the petals.

For a daytime wedding this will work and the bamboo tiki torches will be great decorations.

For the wedding reception at night on a beach or otherwise the tiki torches will work wonderfully and you can create a good Hawaiian luau wedding touch to any wedding.

Tiki Centerpieces

Tabletop bamboo tiki torch centerpieces are the most in vogue and easily they are the big money savers and they only cost about $5 on an average. You can easily procure them on eBay or Amazon and get it shipped to the venue of your choice. They also go with the bamboo wedding arches on the beach wedding.

Decorations of the Tiki Torch

Get a big tiki torch made up of metal like copper or brass and then make sure that use all the tropical greens and the nice limes that are available on the island especially in Hawaii style and decorate that torch. Usually you can have the green leaves runner along with artificial fruits in many florists and crafts shop.

A copper tiki torch without decoration along with the nice flower petals all around it also looks good.

Flowers like calla lilies and plumerias can be used to decorate the upper part of the torch from outside generally and this way you can also easily hide the patterned reed holding the wick and use the ferns runner on the stem or the shaft of the torch.

Colors – Use burnt orange, red and the yellow colors for the decorations.

As I suggested earlier you can keep it on the path to the wedding venue as a set of five on each side.

Lot of people light the torch when it comes to the wedding vows and they are a good backdrop. You can only use one as a backdrop which will in the center of the tow individuals when you see it from the other end or you can put one on each side of the couple.

Tip: Always use the bamboo tiki torches as the stainless steel tiki torches or the copper tiki torches will not have that required elegance. The metal tiki torches are good for the outdoor décor of the home but not for weddings.

The other challenge with gas based tiki torches is that you will have to hide the gas tanks if at all you are using them instead of the canisters.

If you are doing a tiki themed wedding or you are a tiki aficionado then make sure that you everything which is tiki including the tiki torch wedding centerpieces, tiki mugs as favors, tiki stools to sit on and tiki wedding cake topper on the wedding cake. You can have the small tiki hut shaped glass boxes as the weeding favors.

To complete the tiki theme use the tiki bar signs for the directions for the guests.

For pure experience of the tiki weddings the best way is to go to Oahu in Hawaii or the Kauai or Kailua or the most famous for tiki called the Waikiki.

Additional tip ; If you are getting married in Hawaii , make sure that you have the luau or the wedding feast.

Bare Wooden Arch – This is basically a pure rustics style arch with only wooden things and not covered up and only has some organza or tulle and the flowers and petals just thrown over the arch to give it a little soft look .

Multiple Colors – If you want to go with blue colors then use the various hues of blue to get a good effect as in the violet or the periwinkle so that the same blue color decorations do not look boring.

An important for those who are for tips for planning a beach wedding decorations then do not do the blue color but instead choose a blue and a ivory theme as the beach wedding are much more festive in nature.

The best Theme for blue is the Tiffany blue Color. This is very classic and very elegant blue color and much better than a royal blue color. This Tiffany blue is the best when you have to have centerpieces, candles and other decorative items as well as having the Blue ribbons for almost anything you have on the decoration list.

Another very good combination with blue reception decoration is light yellow and also you will get so many various flowers in light yellow be it rose or silk flowers.

For chairs the best bet is to go with the blue sashes. As far as the blue color decoration go in terms on the table decoration you nee to make sure that the blue flowers are there along with a smattering of cream or white roses. Blue and white are the ideal combination.

The Blue wedding flowers can be the Hyacinths, Hydrangea, Delphiniums, Statice and Sea Holly.

Flower vases and Table decorations

The flower vases can be draped in blue organza or you can have special blue ribbons tied on the vases. You can use these blue ribbons to tie the favors.

On the tables you can also use the blue napkin rings as well as blue napkins. But I think the best is white or cream napkins with blue napkin rings.

Another decoration is that you can use fish bowls filled with blue pebbles. Use Satin ribbons for a lot of things that you need to tie.

Use the blue border in the numbering card on the table for that added effect. Then for added effect you can use the silk rose petals in blue color for sprinkling it on the table.

As favors also you can use the transparent jar which has blue colored jelly bins as special gift and tie it with a ribbon which is of a different hue than the blue color of the jelly beans.

In this post I will be describing the various tips and ideas for beach table decorations. I am sure you are here because you have already decided about the wedding venue and that has to be a beach and if you have not then please read my ealier post on planning a beach wedding.

There are a few things that you need to keep in mind while going for beach table decorations and these are

1) Beach Table Decoration Accents

The accents are those small things that you use for decoration of tables to give it a themed look like using the sea shell accents for giving the theme which is all about sea shells. This though is the most common theme at beach weddings so if you are thinking about sea shells or sand dollars then make sure that you shun the idea.

Try to be creative and that means think about something different. The best thing is to get some ideas by looking at the place where you are getting married and that will definitely give you a few ideas about the theme as well as the table accents.

You can use fine bamboo threading to put alongside the table centerpieces to give it a Hawaiian look or use the natural shrubs and nice small flowers for use if you are trying to give the natural look to the overall beach theme.

2) Beach Table Decoration Centerpieces

The most common of the centerpieces are the candles and these never go out of fashion. Use these as the beach table centerpieces and make sure that you do not light them.You can tell the guests that these are also beach favors from you. For putting in the candles make sure that You use again some accents like the sand dollar holders or small bamboo mat candle holders.

Talking about other centerpieces you can also use the centerpieces which are a nice sand castle or any porcelain decoration like flower vase or the candle holder.

Then there are other centerpieces which can do well such as balloons or the bamboo trays. If you are trying to go traditional then get some nice  or traditional items made up of cloth or use the special sea shell motif cloth for use as the wrap around for all the centerpieces.

The best one which I have seen till now is at my distant cousin’s wedding and that has been the special Palm Tree Candle Holders. These are actually made of wood with a shape of a palm tree and a nice candle holder at the top. It was simply amazing but yes make sure if you are renting these to let the guests know that these are not favors. You can tell the guests during the initial speech itself . Do it politely as to not offend anybod’s sensibilities.

The Floating Candles

The floating candles as a concept is very old but since it is a beach wedding make sure that you use the water filled small bowls and get some small tea candles to float in it. You can also add the nice flower petals from fresh flowers in that.

Jute Wrappers for Vases

Get some jute cloth with a green or sand color and then wrap all the sea shells and vases and candles holders with the jute wrappers and the and a small palm leaf to each one of those with a star fish clip. That way it gives a natural look as well has a beach theme because of the starfish.

Use Sand

Always use sand wherever possible to make it look natural. The prime example being the nice small trays that you can fill with sand then stick small bamboo shoots or palm leaves in that for a very natural looking centerpiece.

3 ) Tips And Tricks for Table decorations

1) Explicitly state that the centerpieces are favors or not. It is always better to not have the centerpieces as favors

2) The money can be saved if you use simple ideas like the sand (which is abundantly available) or plam leaves or the banana leaves

3) Get some rose or other flower petals to make sure that the vases as well the tables can be made to look good with those even if you do not have centerpieces or accents

4) Visit the local shop in the beach area for a wide variety of things that you can easily decorate the table with. Make sure to negotiate well for price as these areas will generally have marked up prices.
